Gosainkunda Trek

A freshwater alpine lake in Nepal’s Langtang National Park, Gosaikunda is also known by the spellings Gosainkunda and Gosain Kunda. It is situated there at an elevation of 4,380 meters (14,370 feet), in the Rasuwa District. There are around 108 lakes nearby. The Trishuli River receives most of its water from the lake. It has some of the qualities to be a beginner’s first Himalayan trekking experience. Given its proximity to Kathmandu, hiking may begin the very following day. The entire journey may be completed in 5 days, or it can be extended by adding the Langtang Valley Trek. Simple lodging is easily accessible. The trail is clearly defined.The town of Syabru Besi, the district seat of Rasuwa-Dhunche, or Sundarijal in the Kathmandu valley are all possible starting points for the journey to Gosainkunda.
